Walk

Did you make a New Year's resolution? Did you vow to get in shape and improve your health in 2008? If so, the Big Bay has many venues that will make your commitment to fitness fun and enjoyable.

Walking as little as 30 minutes daily is one of the easiest, safest and most pleasant ways to get in shape, stay in shape and reduce stress. The Big Bay -- San Diego's biggest attraction -- offers 34 miles of scenic waterfront, with miles dedicated to walking and cycling paths.

Workout

In addition, three waterfront parks include a fitness trail, or "par course," which is a path equipped with stations to encourage specific forms of physical exercise. As you stride along Embarcadero Marina Parks North and South and Chula Vista Bayside Park, you can boost your workout at the exercise stations. Easy-to-follow signage guides you through the courses.

Bike

Do you enjoy bicycling? The San Diego Bay Bike Route is a 25-mile circuit around the Big Bay. The terrain is easy and the views terrific. More information on the route can be found at http://www.efgh.com/bike/bayshore.htm
