Above, below and around the waters of San Diego Bay, volunteers choose a site to help keep the Big Bay clean. Divers, boaters and walkers are all welcome. Sign up to be a volunteer today. Participants will recieve a t-shirt, gloves and bags. Kids are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Show up at 8:00 am (Chollas Creek begins at 7:00 am) on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at your selected site's Volunteer registration to receive your T-shirt and Clean Sweep instructions.
Volunteers select one site:
Chula Vista Marina (Volunteer registration at Chula Vista Marina)
Barrio Logan (Volunteer registration at Cesar Chavez Park)
Embarcadero Park North/Marriott Marina/USS Midway/Harbor Drive (Volunteer registration Cesar Chavez Park - shuttle will be provided). Kid friendly clean up site.
National City Marine Terminal (Volunteer registration at Pepper Park)
Chollas Creek (Volunteer registration at PacShip - 1625 Rigel Street). Must be 18 years and older - wear work boots.
All volunteers should wear work gloves (will be provided) and comfortable old shoes that can get wet. Put on your Operation Clean Sweep T-shirt to show your support.
Divers bring your gear and mesh bags.
Boaters - pick up additional volunteers at the Volunteer Registration dock for your site. Skiffs or dinghies are handy. Bring nets, skimmers, and fish hooks.
