A new and exciting event kicks off Fleet Week San Diego this year. The Big Bay Family Festival commences this year’s Fleet Week activities with a showcase of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard to honor and celebrate the men and women of the military.

Fleet Week San Diego partnered with the Port of San Diego, Lockheed-Martin and others to host this event downtown at the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal. Visitors can tour the USS Freedom, USS Pinckney and USS Gary and talk with Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen on hand. Other military displays and exhibits will be featured inside the cruise terminal. Enjoy military bands and the Children’s Fun Zone.

This event is the first of many Fleet Week activities and demonstrations. The following weekend, September 25 & 26, the Coronado Speed Festival roars into action at Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado.
