Let’s start the evening with a stroll through the Embarcadero, south from the Santa Fe Station parking area. The path on the west side of the Convention Center will lead you to Embarcadero Marina Parks North and South. Be sure to check out what’s happening on the South Park's pier. From there, it’s a short walk back to the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal. Impress your companion with a little Big Bay trivia: 125 cruise ships visit this terminal each year. The B Street Cruise Ship Terminal is also where you catch a water taxi ride across the Bay to your favorite restaurant on Harbor or Shelter Island. (You did make the reservations, right?)

After dinner, you can stroll along the bayfront walkways and enjoy the city lights. Water taxi back for coffee and dessert at one of the Embarcadero hotel restaurants, many or which offer spectacular Bay views. The night’s still young. Why not take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride around the Embarcadero?
